The RENewLand Regional Conference: Sustainable Approaches for Designating Renewable Energy Acceleration Areas in Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria will be held on Wednesday, 9 April, from 09:00 to 14:00 at the Marmorosch hotel in Bucharest, Romania.
The aim of this conference is to bring together decision-makers, renewable energy experts, nature conservation specialists, and academics to discuss the identification and designation of Renewable Energy Acceleration Areas (RAAs). The event is part of the RENewLand project, which promotes a multidisciplinary approach to accelerating wind and solar energy deployment in Bulgaria, Hungary, and Romania. the RENewLand project is part of the European Climate Initiative (EUKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
Discussions will focus on regulatory frameworks, spatial planning, environmental considerations, and sectoral collaboration. Speakers will contribute to a high-level dialogue on overcoming challenges and unlocking opportunities for renewable energy development while ensuring biodiversity protection.
