Armand Niculescu-Faur is a Researcher in the Clean Economy Department specialising in strategies for the decarbonisation of buildings and hard-to-abate industries. With a background in public administration, he combines policy analysis and stakeholder engagement to support effective energy transition strategies.
Prior to joining EPG, Armand held advisory roles within the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, where he was involved in coordinating interministerial committees and task forces focused on clean transition, policy implementation and economic competitiveness. He contributed to high-level briefings, communication strategies and stakeholder frameworks, covering topics such as methane reduction, carbon capture and industrial competitiveness.
Previously, he held the position of ESG Research Analyst at Sustainalytics, where he conducted comprehensive assessments of corporate governance performance and contributed to the optimisation of ESG methodologies to enhance analytical reasoning.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Bucharest and a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration.
