Rodica Purcel is a Researcher in the Buildings and Cities department at the Energy Policy Group, where she focuses on built environment regulatory frameworks, energy efficiency, and decarbonisation strategies. Her expertise encompasses the implementation of EU regulatory frameworks and comprehensive sustainability reporting, with a specialised focus on CSRD/ESRS and the EU Taxonomy.

Rodica’s work ranges from calculating product and corporate carbon footprints in accordance with the GHG Protocol to managing stakeholder relationships to drive effective sustainability initiatives. She is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, where her research specialises in the mitigation of urban emissions at the neighbourhood and city scale.
