Clean industry funding in the new MFF with strategic needs in SEE/CEE

Project Description

The forthcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) will be pivotal in determining the European Union’s capacity to translate its industrial competitiveness and climate ambitions into coherent, effective policies, while preserving regional convergence across the Union. Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Southeastern Europe (SEE) face specific structural, economic, and institutional constraints that existing EU funding instruments have only partially and unevenly addressed.

This project seeks to strengthen regional strategic foresight and planning for industrial transformation by systematically collecting and articulating the perspectives of regional stakeholders, and by enhancing their visibility and influence in Brussels-level debates on the MFF, the proposed Competitiveness Fund, and the EU’s broader industrial transition agenda. Hence, the project aims to contribute to EU governance reform and alignment between funding instruments with national priorities and implementation capacity.
