Marian Bordeianu

Marian Bordeianu is an Associate Researcher in Geothermal Energy and Subsurface Resources within EPG’s Clean Economy Department. He is the founder of THERMOZOIC S.R.L., a Romanian start-up active in geothermal energy, applied geology and technical consultancy, with a strong focus on the practical development of geothermal projects in Romania.

His work covers geothermal resource assessment, hydrogeological and technical documentation, permitting, research and innovation projects, and the development of partnerships between industry, academia and public institutions. Marian has contributed to national and international initiatives funded through the EEA and Norway Grants, UEFISCDI and EIT Raw Materials, with a focus on geothermal energy, geoscience, critical raw materials, knowledge transfer and the sustainable use of subsurface resources.

He holds degrees in Geological Engineering and Sedimentary Basin Geology from Babeș-Bolyai University and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Geology, with research interests spanning geothermal systems and applied geoscience.
