Event Postponed - Unlocking Geothermal Energy Potential in Romania

EPG and the Clean Air Task Force (CATF) are organising an event dedicated to the development of the geothermal sector in Romania, focusing on key legislative and administrative barriers, as well as mechanisms to improve access to more effective financing frameworks for projects. The discussion will go beyond conventional technologies, also covering innovative solutions such as deep geothermal systems and applications that enable both heat supply and electricity generation.

The aim of the event is to analyse the main obstacles to sector development, highlight the experience of other EU Member States, and identify regulatory directions that ensure a clear and predictable governance framework. It will also seek to formulate recommendations to accelerate the uptake of geothermal energy in the context of decarbonisation objectives.
