Boosting the EU’s Competitiveness: Perspectives from Central and Eastern Europe

The purpose of this webinar is to bring together policymakers, civil society and industry representatives for an informed debate on the regional impact of EU’s goal to boost its competitiveness, improve access to affordable energy and revive its industrial base. In anticipation of the publication of the Clean Industrial Deal and the European Commission’s proposal for a 2040 GHG emissions target, this event will provide an opportunity to better understand the expectations of CEE countries for these files and how the particularities of the countries in the region should be reflected in the EU’s ongoing efforts to simultaneously decarbonise its economy, lower energy prices and transform its industrial base.

The webinar is planned to host two panel discussions with policymakers and think tanks from the region, as well as present the findings of EPG’s upcoming publication on regional industrial transformation in CEE.
