Christopher Lepădatu

Associate

Christopher Lepadatu is an Associate Researcher in Industrial Decarbonisation within the Clean Economy Department of EPG.

Chris brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in Oil & Gas, Waste-to-Energy, Urban Energy Systems, Building Decarbonisation, as well as Environmental Policy and Regulation. Prior to joining EPG, Chris held an advisory role with RAISE Romanian American Institute for Smart Energy, where he was involved in increasing the collaboration between Romanian and American energy stakeholders, stimulating investment, fostering new partnerships, and facilitating access to new technologies.

Previously, he served as the Chief of Wastewater Compliance Unit 1 in the Maryland Department of the Environment. As Chief of this division, he managed a team of engineers who evaluated industrial and municipal water systems for compliance with local and national regulations.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State University and a master’s degree in environmental engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing.
